Kamakailan lang ay sinubukan kong kontakin si Jessica S. para sa isang telephone interview na maipo-post ko sa blog na ito. Siya yung nanalong runner-up sa nakalipas na bagong season ng AI. Nagpakilala muna ako sa pamamagitan ng agent niya at nagpadala din ako ng litrato.
Tumawag sa akin yung agent at sinabing pumayag daw si Jessica na magpa-interview pero may kundisyon.
Hindi ako makapaniwalang papaunlakan ako ni Jessica nung araw na iyon. Hindi ko nga lang inasahan ang mga bagay na malalaman ko mula sa aking interview sa kanya.
Narito ang transcript ng naging interview ko sa kanya.
Me: Hello Jessica, thank you so much for taking out time from your very busy schedule for this phone interview.
Jessica: Oh, it’s my pleasure. Thank you for inviting me.
Jessica: By the way, you look so handsome in the picture you sent me.
Me: Uh, hehe…I don’t want this to take up so much of your time so I’ll go straight with my questions.
Jessica: Okay, I’m ready (giggles)
Me: How do you feel about not being the champion in AI’s latest season?
Jessica: Even if I wasn’t the champion, I’m very very happy.
Jessica: Just being in AI and getting as far as I did was a dream come true.
Me: We are very proud of you.
Jessica: Thanks.
Me: What was your reaction after knowing that many Filipinos were out there supporting you?
Jessica: Filipinos?
Me: Yes, many Filipinos were doing everything they can to keep you from being eliminated.
Jessica: Why would they do that for me? I’m not Filipino.
Me: What are you saying?
Jessica: I’m not even Asian.
Me: How could you deny your Filipino blood?
Me: Your mother is Filipina.
Jessica: No, she’s not.
Me: Yes, she is and your father is Mexican.
Jessica: Where did you get all these information?
Jessica: Both my parents are European.
Me: Aren’t you Jessica Sanchez from American Idol?
Jessica: No.
Jessica: I’m Jessica Svetlana from Artificial Intelligence.
Me: Artificial Intelligence?
Jessica: It’s a reality game show where contestants pretend to be super smart.
Jessica: Whoever fools the most number of people, wins.
Jessica: Too bad I wasn’t convincing enough.
Me: Oh, I’m sorry. I made a mistake.
Jessica: It’s ok.
Jessica: You still owe me a date.
Me: That’s not possible.
Me: I don’t live in Europe.
Jessica: That’s okay, I can fly over there.
Me: You don’t want to do that.
Me: The picture I sent you is that of Dingdong Dantes.
Jessica: Dingdong who?
Me: Never mind, thank you for your time.
Jessica: Is Dingdong, Filipino?
Me: Yes, but you should watch out for Marian.
Me: She’s a very jealous girl.
Jessica: Who’s Marian?
Me: What is that? Your voice is fading.
Me: I think my battery is running low.
Jessica: I thought you’re using a landline?
Jessica: Hello?
